Roger Harold Anderson

Roger Harold Anderson, age 77, of Howard Lake, passed away Dec. 12, 2001 at the Good Samaritan Home in Howard Lake.

Roger was born Sept. 27, 1924 in Middleville Township to August and Maude Anderson, He grew up in the Highland community surrounded by many relatives and friends.

Roger attended country school and Howard Lake High School.

Because Roger's father passed away, Roger began farming at an early age, aided by his uncles. Along with farming Roger drove trucks. He drove milk truck, cattle truck, gravel truck and maybe some we don't know about.

After leaving the farm and moving to Howard Lake, Roger continued to drive milk truck, until health problems forced him into retirement.

Roger's church family at Mount Hermon Lutheran Church was very important to him over the years. Roger will be remembered as a soft spoken, kind man who will be missed by his family and friends.

Roger was preceded in death by his father, in 1933, his mother in 1964 and sister Evelyn Diers.

He is survived by sisters, Harriet (Welton) Zander, June Wagner, Ione (Marvin) Swedberg, brother, Virgil (Geri) Anderson.

Funeral services were Saturday, Dec. 15, at Mt. Hermon Lutheran Church. The Rev. Leatrice Teigen officiated the service.

Music was provided by Genevieve Larson.

Interment was at Highland Cemetery.
