Herbert Marvin Bonnick
Herbert Marvin Bonnick, age 86 of Howard Lake and formerly of Annandale, died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2001, at the Ridgeview Medical Center, Waconia.
Funeral services were Thursday, Jan. 4, 11 a.m., at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Middleville Township, Wright County, with the Rev. Thomas Queck officiating. The organist was Ruth Goerke. Burial was at Howard Lake Cemetery.
Visitation was Wednesday, Jan. 3, 4 to 7 p.m., at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Maple Lake, and also one hour prior to the service Thursday at the church.
Herbert was born Oct. 15, 1914, in Middleville Twp., Wright Co., to Fred and Bertha (Hinz) Bonnick.
He served his country in the U. S. Army during World War II.
Herbert married Dorothy A. Prickett Oct. 12, 1951, in Howard Lake. She preceded him in death June 17, 1997.
Herbert was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Middleville Township.
He loved his family, was hard-working, and enjoyed deer hunting, visiting with friends and neighbors, and telling stories of his days in the army.
Herbert was a resident of the Howard Lake Good Samaritan Care Center for the past year.
He is survived by a son, Steven, and friend, Sue Fallon, of Howard Lake; and a sister, Edna Bonnick of Buffalo.
In addition to his wife, Herbert was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, and four sisters.
Harold Schilling, Edwin Koepke, Zane Major, Kenneth Marohn, and Jim Edmonson served as pallbearers.
Arrangements were by Dingmann Funeral Care of Maple Lake.
