Monica Rose Fasching
Monica Rose (nee Neumann) Fasching, age 79 of Chaska, and formerly of Winsted, died Sunday, March 11, 2001, in Excelsior, Minn.
She was born Feb. 28, 1922, in Winsted, the daughter of Clemens and Clara (Hoffman) Neumann.
Monica is survived by her husband, Edwin J. Fasching; sons: Kenneth Fasching and wife, Kitty, and Paul Fasching and wife, Patricia; a son-in-law, James Peterson; grandchildren: Rick Fasching, Mark Fasching, Greg Fasching, Kurt Fasching, Alex Fasching, Dan Peterson, and Cindy Adolphson; and seven great-grandchildren.
She is further survived by sisters, Sophia (Toby) Karels, Kelly Hess, Marcy Olk, and Dorie Miller; brothers, Paul Neumann and Robert Neumann; and many nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Monica was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Peterson; a daughter-in-law, Mary L. Fasching; and a granddaughter, Megan Adolphson.
A Mass of Christian Burial was Wednesday, Feb. 14, noon, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Excelsior. Interment was in Resurrection Cemetery, Shorewood.
Visitation was Tuesday, Feb. 13, 6 to 8 p.m., at Huber Funeral Home, Excelsior, and one hour prior to the Mass at the church.
