Rosella J. "Sally" Hausladen
Rosella J. "Sally" Hausladen, age 93 of Winsted, died Friday, April 20, 2001, at St. Mary's Care Center, Winsted.
Rosella was born March 29, 1908, in Winsted Township, McLeod County, the daughter of Joseph B. and Rosalia (Fasching) Millerbernd.
On Oct. 30, 1928, Rosella and Carl Hausladen were joined in holy marriage at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Winsted. God blessed their marriage with seven children.
Carl and Rosella farmed for many years three miles northwest of Winsted.
Carl preceded his wife in death in 1980.
A lifelong faithful member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Winsted, Rosella belonged to the St. Anne's Society, and Holy Trinity's Council of Catholic Women.
Survivors include her children: Mariann (Austin) Otto of Lester Prairie, Germaine (Francis) Schommer and Gerald Hausladen, all of Winsted, Bernard "Bill" Hausladen of Cokato, Jan (Ralph) Millerbernd of Winsted, and David (Joan) Hausladen of Annandale; a daughter-in-law, Alma Sybrandt of California; 22 grandchildren; and 38 great-grandchildren.
Rosella is further survived by sisters, Elizabeth Quast of Maple Plain, Delphine (Ernest) Mallak of Silver Lake, and Leona (Clifford) Ruzicka Sr. of Winsted; and many other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband, Rosella was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Hausladen, in 1983; brothers, Edward, Frank and Joseph Millerbernd; and sisters, Lena Quast, Angela Rozeske, Marie Quast-Artmann, Regina Clann, and Sophie Wawrzyniak.
A concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial took place Tuesday, April 24, 11 a.m., at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Winsted, with the Revs. Paul L. Wolf and Martin F. Rath, OSB, officiating. Interment followed at Holy Trinity Cemetery.
Pat Schommer and Gary Schommer were the commentators/ lectors for the Mass. Marcy Gorres, Peter Schommer, Peggy Schommer and Greg Otto served as gift bearers. Christopher Fast and Lynn Rose Fast were vocalists for the Mass.
Brad Millerbernd, Chad Hausladen, Paul Schommer, Dean Hausladen, Jim Otto and Glen Hausladen served as the casket bearers.
Friends called at the Chilson Funeral Home, Winsted, on Monday, April 23, from 4 to 8 p.m. A St. Anne Society rosary was recited at 4:30 p.m., and a parish prayer service took place at 7:30 p.m.
The Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted served the family.
