Paul G. Hoese

Funeral services for Paul G. Hoese, 86, of Watertown were held on Friday, June 22, at Zion Lutheran Church of Mayer, with the Rev. Peter Meier officiating.

Mr. Hoese died on Sunday, June 17, 2001, at Glencoe Regional Health Services.

Pallbearers were grandsons, Brian Hoese, Eric Hoese, Nathan Hoese, Jason Hoese, Greg Hoese, Tim Hoese and Ben Hoese. Interment were in the church cemetery.

Mr. Hoese was born on July 27, 1914, in Watertown Township, Carver County, to Paul and Auguste (Ziebell) Hoese. He was baptized at Zion Lutheran Church in Mayer by the Rev. F.W. Erthal and confirmed by the Rev. Erthal on April 1, 1928.

On June 11, 1938, he was united in marriage to Anita M. Luedtke at St. John's Lutheran Church in Norwood Young America by the Rev. W. Kramer.

Mr. Hoese farmed his entire life. He enjoyed his family, going fishing and watching the Mayer baseball team play. He was a former member of the Zion Lutheran School Board.

Survivors include his wife, Anita; sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Lavonne Hoese of New Hope, Luther and Eyvonne Hoese of Osakis, Charles and Kirsten Hoese of Little Falls, Ronald and Karen Hoese of Mayer, Michael Hoese of Mayer; grandchildren, Lisa and Rob Ingvaldson, Brian and Shannon Hoese, Eric Hoese, Nathan Hoese, Jason Hoese, Greg Hoese, Amy and Chris Schultz, Mark and Kristine Friske, Ben Hoese, Tim and Lynn Hoese, Becky Hoese; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Emma Schneewind of Waconia; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Delores Neumann of Waconia and George and Lorna Luedtke of Norwood Young America; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Elmer and Edwin Hoese; sisters, Edna Gongoll, Anna Hogan and Elsie Zieroth.

The Johnson Funeral Home of Waconia handled arrangements.
