James E. Hoese
James E. Hoese, age 27, of Howard Lake, passed away Wednesday, Aug, 29, 2001, at his home in Howard Lake, after courageously fighting germ cell cancer for eleven months. He had enormous amounts of support from his family and friends.
James was born May 30, 1974, at Waconia, the son of Erland J. and Linda M. (Narr) Hoese. He was baptized June 16, 1974, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Watertown, by the Rev. Glenn Leaf.
James was married to Angela M. Adams at St. Mark Lutheran Church, New Germany, July 25, 1998, with the Rev. Jack Dahl officiating.
He loved hunting, fishing, sports, and being outdoors. Playing with his nieces and nephews and watching them grow up was very important to James. There are many stories to be remembered of him.
James is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Orvin Hoese and Raymond Narr; and uncle, John Narr.
He is survived by his wife, Angela; parents, Erland and Linda Hoese of Howard Lake; sisters and brothers-in-law, Beth and Mike Baumann of Mayer, Betty and Todd Jopp of New Germany, Bobbi and Chris Kadrie of Lester Prairie; and grandmothers, Lenora Hoese and Vernice Narr, both of Watertown.
He is further survived by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Kelton and Marcella Adams of New Germany; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Joel and Ann Adams of Michigan, Paul and Kelly Adams of Sleepy Eye, Joy Adams of New Germany; nieces and nephews, Jessica and Ryan Baumann, Casondra and Patrick Jopp, Samantha and Jared Kadrie, Stephanie and Kevin Roepke, Mercy and Max Adams, Amber and Levi Adams, Abby, Amanda, and Tim Dubois, Hillary and Alex Ault.
In addition, James is also survived by his Godparents, Dennis Hoese, Lois Hoese, and Becky Engel; uncles, aunts, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were Saturday, Sept. 1, 2001, 11 a.m., at St. James Lutheran Church, Howard Lake. The Rev. Martin Schoenfeld officiated the service.
Interment was at Dutch Lake Cemetery, Howard Lake.
Casketbearers were Steven Hoese, Brian Schubert, Jerry Schubert, Troy Hultgren, Tom Herda, Mike Forcier, Chris Neaton, and John VanAllen.
Arrangements were made by Johnson Funeral Home, Waconia.
