Dennis Hubbell, 51

Dennis Hubbell, age 51, of Howard Lake, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, Nov. 22, 2001, at the Buffalo Hospital in Buffalo.

Dennis James Hubbell was born June 20, 1950, in Bemidji. He was the son of James and Marvilla (Collette) Hubbell.

He was baptized as an infant, and later confirmed in his faith as a youth. He attended and graduated school in Mound.

Following his education, Dennis entered active military service in the United State Army in 1969, and served in Ft. Bragg, N.C. He was honorably discharged in 1971.

Dennis was united in marriage to Nancy Lee Wandersee July 24, 1976. From this marriage, they had four children ­ Jim, Chris, David, and Jackie.

The family resided in Howard Lake. Dennis was employed as a prototype machinist in Plymouth for over 29 years.

Dennis enjoyed fixing cars, bowling, computers, and car racing at the Wright County Fair, Arlington, and Grove Creek.

Dennis is survived by his special friend, Mary Verness of Minneapolis; children, Jim Hubbell of Delano and his special friend Colleen Carlson of Montrose, Chris Hubbell of Howard Lake, David Hubbell of Howard Lake, Jackie Hubbell of Howard Lake; sister, Deb Wakefield and her husband, Jess of Aniwa, Wis.; Kim Harris of Hutchinson; brothers, Kenny Hubbell of St. Paul, Jerry Hubbell and his wife, Donna of Lakeville, Brian Hubbell of Howard Lake; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Dennis is preceded in death by his parents, James and Marvilla Hubbell.

Funeral Services were Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2001, at 1:30 p.m., at the Cavalry Wesleyan Church, Hutchinson. Interment took place at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, Friday, Nov. 30, 2001, at 11 a.m.

The Rev. Larry Johnson Jr. officiated.

Casket bearers were George Chap, Gary Field, Dan Councilman, Chris Hubbell, Jerry Hubbell, and Ron Collette.
