Theodore B. Jaskowiak
Theodore B. Jaskowiak, age 94, of Silver Lake, passed away Thursday, Dec. 20, 2001, at Burns Manor.
Theodore was born Aug. 6, 1907 in Spring Park to Theodore and Pelagia Jaskowiak. He attended Hutchinson Public School through the 10th grade.
Theodore was united in marriage to Ethel Sadek Nov. 6, 1946.
He worked as a butcher in St. Paul, then served in the Army as a medic in WWII from 1941 to 1945.
Theodore also drove street cars in St. Paul and later, MTC busses. When he retired in 1971, he worked at Cliff's Market as a butcher in Silver Lake.
He enjoyed playing cards, fishing, and camping, and was a member of the Silver Lake American Legion. Theodore attended Holy Family Catholic Church in Silver Lake.
Theodore was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ethel; son, Theodore, Jr.; stepson, Wesley Boody; grandson, Timothy Boody; daughter-in-law Luann Jaskowiak; brothers, Raymond and Clifford.
He is survived by his sons, James of Snohomish, Wash., Jerry (Connie) of Silver Lake, Stefan (Denise) of Winsted; and step-son, Frank (LaDene) Boody; 12 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Saturday, Dec. 22, 2001, at Holy Family Catholic Church, with the Rev. Robert Mraz officiating. Alice Nowak was organist.
Tracy Jaskowiak, Matthew Jaskowiak, John Boody, Steve Schermann, James Johnson, Chip Wolverton, and Jason Renstrom served as pall bearers.
Interment was at Bohemian National Cemetery.
Maresh Funeral Home, Silver Lake, served the family.
