John R. Ketcher
John R. Ketcher, age 31, of Norwood Young America died
suddenly Dec. 2, 2001, in an automobile accident.
John was born Aug, 13, 1970 at Waconia, the son of Robert
and Janice M. (Karels) Ketcher. He was baptized Aug. 30, 1970 at St. John’s
Lutheran Church in Norwood Young America by the Rev. Henry Fry and confirmed
March 31, 1985 at the same church, again by Rev. Henry Fry.
He married YoVonne J. Dahl in Hawaii May 14, 1998.
He enjoyed fishing, four-wheeling, snowmobiling, canoeing,
being with his friends and his dogs.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents.
He is survived by his wife, YoVonne; parents, Janice and
Robert Ketcher of Norwood Young America; sisters and brother-in-law, Susan
and Mark Pierson of Gilbert, Ariz., Jody and Patrick Lhotka of Plato, Peggy
Ninow and friend Jay of Robbinsdale, Jennifer Ketcher and fiance Brian of
Fargo, N.D.; brother, Jim Ketcher of Norwood Young America; nieces and nephews,
Brandon, Josh and Amanda Pierson, Rachel and Matthew Lhotka; mother-in-law
and father-in-law, Arlene and Jack Dahl of Mound; brother-in-law, Dale Dahl
and special friend Steph Udell of Lester Prairie; Godparents, Stan and Lois
Schultz of Norwood Young America, Marie Dietel of Norwood Young America;
uncles, aunts, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2001, 11 a.m.,
at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Norwood Young America, with the Rev. Scott
Gustafson officiating.
John Boehmke, Jon Verch, Randy Schug, Vance Huwe, Dan Lenzen,
Tommy Salonek, Bob Good, and Kurt Vinkemeier served as casketbearers.
Interment was at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery.
Johnson Funeral Home in Waconia served the family.
