Carol Ann "Annie" Kohler
Carol Ann "Annie" Kohler, age 46 of Rockford, died Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2001.
She was born Dec. 22, 1954, in Glencoe, the daughter of Ambrose and Irene (Shovelain) Remer.
Carol graduated from Howard Lake High School in 1973.
She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Winsted
Carol was currently employed at Gage Lettershop Services, Howard Lake.
She enjoyed playing cards, especially euchre. Carol also liked to sew and do cross-stitch.
Survivors include a daughter, Rebecca (Craig) Heimerl of Lester Prairie; a son, Jacob Kohler of Grand Forks, N.D.; brothers and sisters, Gerald (Joan) Remer of St. Louis Park, Helen Earley of Brooklyn Park, Geraldine (Glenn) Kleist of Richfield, Charles (Trudy) Remer of Winsted, Melvin (Cindy) Remer of Bloomington, Bernadine (Kenny) Juncewski of Silver Lake, and Harold (Paula) Remer of Lester Prairie; sister-in-law Rita (Kendall) Bradford of Bloomington; a special friend, Tony Hlad; godchildren, Vicki Thonvold and Lincoln Remer; nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Ambrose and Irene Remer; an infant brother; brothers, Roger and Clarence; and by a brother-in-law, David Earley.
A Mass of Christian Burial was Friday, Feb. 16, 11 a.m., at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. The Rev. Paul L. Wolf was the celebrant, and the organist was Lavon Kielkucki. Interment followed at the Holy Trinity Cemetery.
Friends called from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 15 at the Chilson Funeral Home, Winsted, with a prayer service at 7 p.m.
Casket bearers were Travis Remer, Danny Remer, Craig Remer, Kevin Kleist, Roger Earley, Robert "Bud" Remer, John Remer, and Alan Juncewski.
The Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted served the family.
