Emily Pawlicki Lewandowski
Emily Pawlicki Lewandowski, age 95, of Silver Lake, passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2001, at St. Mary's Care Center, Winsted.
Emily was born Sept. 23, 1905, the daughter of John and Mary (Kasprzyk) Pawlicki. She got her education at District 27 Country School.
Emily married Edward Lewandowski May 1, 1928, at St. Adalbert's Church.
She worked as both a homemaker and farmer throughout her life. Emily enjoyed gardening, canning, sewing, and visiting with her family.
In her younger days, Emily also enjoyed fishing Sunday afternoons, and liked attending county fairs and other social events.
She was involved in activities through St. Adalbert's Church and was a lifetime member of Holy Family Church, Silver Lake, where she was baptized and confirmed. She also served with the Rosary Society and CCW.
Emily is preceded in death by her husband, Edward; son, Joseph Feb. 26, 2001; brothers, Anton Pawlicki and Joe Pawlicki.
She is survived by a sister, Peggy Lewandowski, who resides in the Howard Lake Nursing Home.
Funeral services for Emily Lewandowski were conducted Saturday, July 28, 2001, at Holy Family Church, Silver Lake, with the Rev. Gene Lazinski officiating.
Organist was Alice Nowak, who played a Polish song, "On Eagles Wings," and "How Great Thou Art."
Ron Mickolichek, Gordon Pawlicki, Ken Juncewski, Mike Yurek, John Lewandowski, and Leon Schwichtenberg served as pallbearers.
Interment was at St. Adalbert Cemetery, Silver Lake.
Arrangements were made by Maresh Funeral Home in Silver Lake.
