Larry Magnuson, age 58, of Watertown, died at home Monday, May 7.
Larry was born on July 27, 1942, in Watertown. He was one of four children born to Joseph Ragner and Eleanor Idaleen (Lenz) Magnuson.
He was baptized September 20, 1942, by N. William Anderson, was confirmed June 6, l957 by A. M. Gustafson, both at Trinity Lutheran Church.
Larry was united in marriage August 9, 1969, with Suzanne Marie Landgraf, by the Rev. Arthur Gaard at Trinity Lutheran Church, Watertown. To this union were born two sons, John Eric and Timothy Douglas.
Larry was involved with, or worked for, many businesses, including Perkins Electric, Olson Concrete, Supreme Foods, Magnuson Electric, Midwest Sales, Magnuson Implement, Midwest Bus Service, Contemporary Transportation (a handicapped bus service) and Magnuson & Associates (a cleaning service).
For the last ten years, he was employed by Heglund Bus Company of Monticello.
Larry's interests included a love of cars and other types of machinery, traveling, going out to eat, gospel music, spending time at the lake and doing things with his family.
Larry was preceded in death by his father, Joseph.
He is survived by his wife, Suzanne; sons John of Watertown and Timothy of St. Joseph; mother Eleanor Magnuson of Waconia; brothers and sisters-in-law, Dale and Marlene Magnuson of New Germany, and Mark and Cynthia Magnuson of Excelsior; sister and brother-in-law Sandra and Donald Wengler of Backus, Minn.; parents-in-law Philip and Elva Landgraf of Starbuck; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Gary and Linda Landgraf of Moorhead, and Janet and James Axtell of Spooner, Wisc.; aunts, Marie Lenz of Watertown and Orpha Magnuson of San Carlos, Calif.; uncle Ed Resner of St. Paul; and many cousins, nieces and nephew, and friends.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, May 12, 11 a.m., at Trinity Lutheran Church, Watertown, with the Rev. Robert Ericson officiating.
Interment was at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Watertown.
Arrangements were made by Johnson Funeral Home, Waconia.
