Janet Naomi Masuda
Janet Naomi Masuda, age 78 of Hutchinson and formerly of Lester Prairie, died unexpectedly Sunday, April 1, 2001, at her home.
Janet was born in Rochester, Minn., Sept. 22, 1922, the daughter of Roy and Minnie (Gilbertson) Masuda. She resided with her parents until the age of 11 years, when she moved to Cambridge, Minn.
In the 1960s, Janet moved to the Alice Haney Home, Lester Prairie, where she lived until 1989, when she moved to Hutchinson.
Janet worked at the Adult Training and Rehabilitation, Hutchinson.
At the time of her death, Janet had reached the age of 78 years, six months, and nine days.
She is preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, George Masuda.
Janet is survived by one brother, Robert (wife, Delores) of Fridley; one sister, Lorraine Jones of Whitefish, Mont.; one sister-in-law, Jeane Masuda of Pacific Groves, Calif.; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were Thursday, April 5, 11 a.m., from the Paul-McBride Funeral Chapel, Lester Prairie.
Friends called at the funeral chapel one hour prior to the service.
Casket bearers were Ken Moore, Percy Hansen, Tom Moore, Mark Masuda, Tom Masuda, and Richard Schiller. Interment was in the Lester Prairie City Cemetery.
