Eveleth B. Peschken

Eveleth B. Peschken, of Harlingen, Texas (and formerly of Winsted), died Thursday, July 26, 2001, at her home. She was 91.

Eveleth was born to Louisa and Charles Blomquist March 17, 1910, in Minneapolis.

She attended the University of Minnesota, where she met and married Herman Peschken in 1933.

Eveleth loved hunting and fishing with her husband, and was an excellent cook and avid traveler, including China and Russia in her lifetime itinerary.

She lived in Winsted from 1944 to 1979, when she moved to Harlingen following the death of her husband, a former owner of Pure Milk Products Company, now Winsted Farmers Co-Op Creamery.

She was well known for her generous, outgoing nature and love of people.

Eveleth is survived by her daughter, Judy Darst of Woodinville, Wash.; grandsons, Seth Darst of New York City and Sander Darst of Olympia, Washington; and one great-granddaughter.

A memorial service was conducted August 1, 10:30 a.m., at Kreidler-Ashcraft Funeral Directors, Harlingen, Texas.
