Steven H. (T.T.) Streich obituary, 11/27/2001

Steven H. (T.T.) Streich, 39
Steve H. Streich of Howard Lake, Minn, more commonly known
as “T.T.”, has gone to his final dream. This dream was meeting
with his father, Ralph Streich and uncle, Don Streich, to farm forever.
Leaving us to soon, he will be forever missed by his loving wife, Mary,
his children, Stephanie, Jessica, Ryan, and Brittany, and his special granddaughter,
Macee.
Steven Harold Streich was born on April 14, 1962 in Cokato,
Minnesota the son of Ralph and LaVay (nee: Peterson) Streich. A life-long
member of St. James Lutheran Church, Howard Lake, he was baptized April
29, 1962 by Rev. G.C. Michael and confirmed in his faith by him on May 2,
1976.
Steve grew up on the family farm located between Howard
Lake and Waverly.
He attended St. James Grade School and graduated from Howard
Lake-Waverly High School in 1980. He was proud and happy to be a member
of this class.
On Aug. 27, 1982, Steve married Mary Mochinski of Winsted,
and they were blessed with four children and one granddaughter.
He loved many things – his family, coaching basketball,
softball and baseball, playing with kids, pulling pranks and teasing anyone,
Christmas time, pulling teeth for nieces and nephews, and slip and slides.
No one could resist smiling with his infectious laugh and playful eyes.

In 1984, Steve was initiated into the International Association
of Machinists Union, being a member for 16 years.
T.T. started umpiring in 1988 for high school games, traveling
leagues men’s and women’s leagues. He was also a varsity referee for girls’
and boys’ basketball.
Most importantly, Steve dearly loved his 18-month old granddaughter,
Macee, and would often get her up to play when she should have been in bed.

While at work Nov. 26, Steve suddenly took the hand of
the Lord, leaving this world at the age of 39 years, 7 months and 12 days.
He had suffered a massive heart attack, and efforts at North Memorial Hospital
could not revive him.
Steve was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Streich,
and uncle, Don Streich.
He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Mary; his children,
Stephanie, Jessica, Ryan and Brittany; granddaughter, Macee all of Howard
Lake.
