Omer Armen Bullert

Omer Armen Bullert, age 76, of Delano, was called to his eternal rest while a patient at the Beverly Health Center, Delano Jan. 6, 2002.

Omer was born Jan. 1, 1926, in Howard Lake, the son of Fred and Clara (nee Krohn) Bullert.

He was baptized at St. James Lutheran Church, Howard Lake Jan. 24, 1926, by the Rev. C. G. Seltz, and confirmed in his faith April 2, 1939, by the Rev. E. N. Seltz.

For most of his life, Omer worked on the family farm west of Howard Lake. He also attended school and became an accountant at Augsburg College in St. Paul. After moving to the Twin Cities, he joined St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Columbia Heights.

Omer was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Clara Bullert.

He is survived by two sisters, Orvella and Orlin Doering of Howard Lake and Donna and Robert Krause of Montrose; nieces; nephews, and a host of friends and relatives.

Funeral services were Jan. 9, 2002, at St. James Lutheran Church, Howard Lake, with the Rev. Michael Nirva and the Rev. Keith Brutlag officiating.

The organist was Nancy Butterfass. Interment was at the Howard Lake Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Rick Doering, Gary Krause, Jeff Krause, Sheri Fenn, Scott Doering and Daniel Krause.

Honorary pallbearers were Julie Doering, Krista Doering, David Krause, Allison Krause, Meranda Krause, Nicholas Fenn, Michael Fenn, Lindsey Krause and Nicole Krause.

Arrangements were made by the Swanson-Peterson Funeral Home of Howard Lake, Minnesota.
