Irene L. Erdman
Irene L. Erdman, age 82, of Winsted, died Saturday evening, Nov. 9, 2002, at Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia.
She was born Sept. 23, 1920, in Lester Prairie, the daughter of Frank and Catherine Lachermeier Remer.
Irene Remer was joined in holy marriage to Robert Erdman June 11, 1946. Irene and Robert engaged in farming for many years near Waverly, and later east of Winsted. Robert preceded his wife in death Nov. 21, 1997.
Irene also formerly worked at Green Giant in Winsted and Tonka Toys in Mound.
She was a faithful member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted, and was a past member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Waverly.
In addition to her husband, Irene was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and a sister: Ambrose Remer, Frank Remer, Marie Ordon, Joseph Remer, and Leo Remer.
She is survived by her loving three sisters and three brothers: Hildegard Hausladen of Waverly, Magdalen Campbell of Mayer, Leona Wagner of Waverly, Ralph (Sylvia) Remer of Bloomington, Linus (Lorena) Remer of Maple Grove, and Andy (Mary) Remer of Bloomington; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
A memorial Mass for Irene Erdman took place Saturday, Nov. 16, at 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. Father Paul L. Wolf was the celebrant, and interment followed at Holy Trinity Cemetery.
A visitation took place one-half hour prior to service at the church.
The Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted served the family.
