Willard Floyd Fenske
Willard Floyd Fenske, age 78, of St. Paul and formerly of Lester Prairie, entered his eternal rest Saturday, Aug. 24, 2002, at United Hospital in St. Paul.
Willard was born the son of Henry and Ida (Lueck) Fenske Aug. 26, 1923 in Camden Township. He was baptized Sept. 30, 1923 at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Lester Prairie by the Rev. A. Spleiss.
Willard was confirmed into the Lutheran faith also at St. Paul's Lutheran Church by the Rev. E. H. Stahlke.
He attended school in Carver County through the eighth grade. Willard lived and worked on the farm with his parents until about 30 years ago when he moved to various places, finally settling in St. Paul.
He lived for a total of 78 years, 11 months, and 28 days.
Willard was preceded in death by his parent; siblings, Gilbert Fenske, Melvin Fenske, Eldoris Fenske, Mavis Fenske, Vernon Fenske, Delores (Wallace) Goethke, Kenneth Fenske, and Myron Fenske.
He is survived by his brother Glen (Evelyn) Fenske of Watertown, sister Marlene (Leonard) Oestreich of New Germany, many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Funeral services for Willard Fenske took place Sunday, Aug. 25, 2002, at 4 p.m., at the Paul-McBride Funeral Chapel in Lester Prairie. Officiating was the Rev. Grant Bode.
Visitation took place one hour prior to the service at the chapel, and interment was in the St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Lester Prairie.
