Thomas J. Galvin
Thomas J. Galvin, age 74, of Buffalo, died Friday, June
14, 2002, at his residence.
He was born July 23, 1927, in Marysville Township, Wright
County, the son of Thomas C. and Luella “Lu” Padden Galvin.
Thomas J. Galvin and Gladys M. Otten were joined in holy
marriage at St. Francis Catholic Church in Buffalo July 29, 1950. God blessed
their marriage with nine children.
Thomas was employed for many years as a truck driver and
belonged to the church of St. Francis in Buffalo.
Thomas was preceded in death by parents Thomas C. and Lu
Galvin.
He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 52 years, Gladys
M. Galvin; children, Jeanne Norman of Winsted and fiancé Mike Klein,
Mike (Janet) Galvin of Delano, Mary (Jeff) Fasching of Winsted, Dennis Galvin
of Buffalo, Lori (Steve) Westphal of Monticello, Bob (Jenine) Galvin of
Santa Maria, Calif., Teresa (Rich) Voge of Buffalo, Margie (Gary) Weber
of Winsted, and Rita (Mark) Quigley of Buffalo.
He is further survived by 19 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren;
a sister, Rosemary (Richard) Junceski of Brooklyn Center; sisters-in-law
and brothers-in-law, Florence Rasset and Caroline Salonek, both of Montrose;
Francis (Elaine) Otten and Vernon (Liz) Otten, all of Buffalo, and Don (Mary)
Otten of Hillman; and many other relatives and friends;
A Mass of Christian Burial for Thomas Galvin was Tuesday,
June 18, 10 a.m. at the Church of St. Francis in Buffalo. The Rev. Tom Rayar
was the celebrant, and interment followed at St. Francis Cemetery.
Kerri Fasching, Cindy Galvin, Troy Norman, Tim Norman,
Matthew Westphal and Ryan Galvin served as casketbearers.
The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo served the family.
