Jacquelin Joy Hawes
Jacquelin Joy Hawes, age 69, of Howard Lake, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2002, in Litchfield.
Jacquelin was born Feb. 11, 1932, the daughter of Arthur and Evelien (Giles) Olson, in Minneapolis. As a child, she moved to the Lake Marion area and then to Hutchinson.
She married Gilbert Hawes July 27, 1949, and the couple made their home in Hutchinson. In 1978, they moved to Howard Lake. Gilbert passed away in 1984.
Jacquelin was active in the Lioness, and enjoyed art. She was an adventuresome person, and liked to travel and do things.
She enjoyed spending time with her friends, and had a tender heart. She was very giving, and her family was most important to her.
Jacquelin was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and grandson, Quinton.
She is survived by her children, Terry of Winsted, Dean (Judy) of Hutchinson, Ricky of Howard Lake, and Mark (Desiree) of Dassel; brothers, Ted (Carol) Olson of Brainerd and Robert of Minneapolis; 13 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Jacquelin Joy Hawes were Friday, March 1, 2002, at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, Cokato. The Rev. Dan K. Swanson officiated the service.
Music was provided by Jan Ostroot and Sheldon Hedin.
