Marcy M. Herrmann
Marcy M. Herrmann, age 69, of Waconia, died Thursday, March 28, 2002, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.
She was born July 2, 1932 at Dahlgren Township, Carver County, the daughter of Ernest C. and Mildred M. (Kassen) Kusserow.
She was baptized July 24, 1932, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Carver, by the Rev. V. A. Ostermann, and confirmed April 14, 1946 at Zion Lutheran Church, Cologne, by the Rev. R. W. Rottmann.
Marcy was married to Donald C. Herrmann at Zion Lutheran Church June 13, 1954, by the Rev. John E. Melchert.
She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She always put the needs of others before her own.
Marcy and Don had the honor of having the first wedding in the New Zion Lutheran Church. She was active in the church choir and ladies aid. She was known for her baking, especially her Tea Rings.
She was also on the support staff at Trinity Lutheran School and church in Waconia, and volunteered at Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia.
Marcy was a graduate of Waconia High School.
Marcy was preceded in death by her father Ernest C. Kusserow; grandson Brandon Walden; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ralph and Hilda Herrmann.
She is survived by her husband Donald; daughters and son-in-law, Cathy Walden of Shakopee, and Lois and Tim Geyen of Watertown; mother Mildred Kusserow of Cologne; grandchildren, Ryan and Brent Walden, Sarah, Tyler and Megan Geyen; sisters and brother-in-law Bev and Don Hamm of Rogers, Sue Braun of Fullerton, Calif.; brother and sister-in-law, Ralph and Joann Herrmann of Cologne; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Funeral services were Monday, April 1, 2002, 11 a.m. at Zion Lutheran church, Cologne, with the Rev. Eric L. Zacharias officiating.
Interment was at Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Cologne.
Ryan Walden, Brent Walden, Tyler Geyen, Ben Kusserow, Justin Kusserow, and Scott Hamm served as casketbearers.
Johnson Funeral Home, Waconia, served the family.
