Kathleen "Keene" Kubasch
Kathleen "Keene" Kubasch, age 77, of Winsted, died Sunday, Nov. 3, 2002, at St. Mary's Care Center.
She was born Aug. 7, 1925, in Winsted the daughter of Denis E. and Ella Seymour Campbell.
Keene graduated from Holy Trinity High School in 1944.
Keene Campbell and Milo Kubasch were joined in holy marriage July 19, 1946, in Kimball. God blessed their marriage with five children.
She was a lifelong member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Winsted, and also belonged to Holy Family Council 204.
Keene was preceded in death by her parents, sisters and brothers Magdalen "Mixie" Roufs, Elderine Fasching, John Edward Campbell, Jerome Campbell, Clara McCarthy, and Denis M. Campbell.
She is survived by her husband Milo H. Kubasch; children Keith Kubasch of Minneapolis, Sheilah (Ken) Maresh of Winsted, Kevin (sweetheart Sharilyn Wenberg) Kubasch of Plymouth, Kent Kubasch of South Haven, and Kurt (fiancee Roberta Stender) Kubasch of Richmond.
She is further survived by grandchildren Shannon Maresh and Kassondra Kubasch, great-grandchild Thomas Maresh, step-grandchildren Amy Johnson and Adam Johnson; sister Helen Hazel of Brooklyn Center and brother Paul Campbell of St. Paul; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Gordon (Lenora) Kubasch of Winsted and Beverly (Reuben) Sironen of Boulder, Colo.; and nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
A Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial for Keene Kubasch took place Wednesday, Nov. 6, at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. Father Paul L. Wolf and Father Martin F. Rath, OSB, were the concelebrants, and interment followed at Holy Trinity Cemetery.
Friends called at the Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted Tuesday, Nov. 5, from 4 to 8 p.m. A Holy Family Council Rosary was recited at 4:30 p.m. and a prayer service was at 7 p.m.
Casketbearers were Kathleen's five children and her son-in-law.
Arrangements were made by the Chilson Funeral Home, Winsted.
