Martin B. "Marty" Mahon
Martin B. "Marty" Mahon, age 45, of St. Paul, died Saturday, Jan. 5, 2002, at Nile Health Care Center in Minneapolis.
He was born Nov. 5, 1956, in Watertown, the son of Joseph E. and Mary J. Healy Mahon.
Marty enjoyed playing the violin and formerly played fiddle for Arnie Wannebo and the Wagon Wheelers.
Marty was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, John and Mary Mahon, and by his maternal grandfather, Ben Healy.
Marty is survived by his parents, Joseph and Mary Mahon of Mayer; brothers and sisters, Patrick Mahon of Minnetonka, Amy (Bob) Koelfgen of Montrose, Matthew Mahon of Bloomington, and Therese (Tom) Jennings of Edina; a niece, Molly; a nephew, Jacob; maternal grandmother, Enrica Healy of New Brighton; aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
A Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial for Martin "Marty" Mahon was Tuesday, Jan. 8 at 1 p.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Winsted. Bishop Paul V. Dudley, the Rev. Ambrose J. Mahon, and the Rev. Paul L. Wolf were the concelebrants.
Friends called at the Chilson Funeral Home, Winsted, from 10 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 8.
Interment was at Holy Trinity Cemetery.
Amy Koelfgen and Molly Koelfgen were lectors for the Mass. Jacob Koelfgen and Molly Koelfgen were the giftbearers. Patrick Mahon, Matthew Mahon, Tom Jennings, Bob Koelfgen, Rick Wyatt, and Bill Healy served as casket bearers.
The Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted served the family.
