Harriet Ann Schilling
Harriet Ann Schilling, age 66, of rural Annandale, died
Monday, Sept. 23, 2002, at her residence in Albion Township.
She was born Nov. 25, 1935, in Montevideo the daughter
of Bert and Geraldine Knox Hanson.
Harriet was baptized Dec. 29, 1935. She was also instructed
in the Lutheran Catechism and confirmed in the Christian faith June 4, 1950,
in Yellow Medicine Lutheran Church in Hanley Falls.
She graduated from Hanley Falls High School in 1953. Following
her graduation from high school, Harriet attended Augsburg College and later
Anoka-Hennepin Tech-nical College.
Harriet Hanson and Harold Schilling were joined in holy
marriage Dec. 22, 1956, in Minneapolis. God blessed their marriage with
two daughters.
Harriet was formerly employed at The Anoka-Metro Regional
Treatment Center.
She was a faithful member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church
in Middleville Township, Wright County, and its Bible study.
She was preceded in death by her parents Bert and Geraldine
Hanson and by an infant brother Harold.
She is survived by her husband Harold W. Schilling; daughters
Darcia (Andrew) Tatham of West St. Paul and Debra (Wayne) Seppelt of Howard
Lake; granddaughter Anneliese Tatham; two sisters: Lois Hanson of Minneapolis
and Elvera Wood of Grantsburg, Wis.; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Harriet Schilling took place Friday,
Sept. 27 at 1 p.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Middleville Township.
The Rev. Leland D. Bendix officiated, and interment followed at the church
cemetery.
Jeanette Beckala was the organist for the funeral service.
“Children of the Heavenly Father” and “The Old Rugged Cross”
were sung as congregational hymns. Alex Smoot sang “Somebody Cares.”
Friends called at the Peterson Chapel in Buffalo Thursday,
Sept. 26 from 4 to 8 p.m. A prayer service was at 7 p.m. Further visitation
was Friday, Sept. 27 and one hour prior to service at the church.
The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo served the family.
