Catherine Marie Schwan
Catherine Marie Schwan, age 45, of Cokato, passed away
at her home Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2002, after battling cancer for over 15 years.
She was born March 25, 1957 in Minneapolis to Jim and Mary
Gadbois.
Catherine was preceded in death by her parents Mary and
Jim Gadbois, her youngest brother Chris, and her father-in-law Frances Schwan.
She is survived by her husband Christopher Joseph Schwan;
children Christine, James, Stacie, Jennifer, and Sara; six sisters and four
brothers-in-law; one brother and sister-in-law; three sisters-in-law, three
brothers-in-law, and a mother-in-law on her husband’s side; 30 nieces and
nephews, and numerous extended family members and friends who supported
her over the years.
A Mass of Christian Burial took place Saturday, Oct. 19,
2002, at 9 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Waverly. The Rev. Dave
Barrett and deacon Mike Thoennes served as celebrants of the Mass.
Music was provided by Therese Borrell and St. Mary’s Choir.
Les Bartos, Greg Hallberg, Mark Burg, Dwayne Ordorff, Del
Stone, and Pat Stone served as casketbearers.
Interment was at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Swanson-Peterson Funeral Home, Inc. served the family.
