Delphine C. Vetsch, 72Delphine C.Vetsch, age 72, of rural Monticello died peacefully Wednesday, July 31, 2002, at the Ebenezer Covenant Home in Buffalo. She was born in St. Michael March 3, 1930, the daughter of August and Bridget Dehmer Kasper. Delphine Kasper was joined in holy marriage
to Cletus Vetsch July 21, 1948, at the Church of St. Michael
in St. Michael. God blessed their marriage with 10 children.
Delphine was a faithful member of the Church of St. Albert in Albertville. She also belonged to the Christian Mothers Society and to Catholic Aid. In addition to her loving husband, Delphine was preceded in death by a daughter, Annette; a son, Allen; her parents, August and Bridget Kasper; sisters, Marie Beaudry and Barbara Marketon; and a brother, Lewis Kasper. She is survived by children, Ron Vetsch of Maple Grove, Dorothy (Ed) Brabec of Howard Lake, Betty (Phil) Horsch of Monticello, Patty (Gary) Lenz of Albertville, Loren (Kristin) Vetsch of Browerville, Mark Vetsch of Monticello, Marvin (Brenda) Vetsch of Winsted and Keith Vetsch of Monticello; 17 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She is further survived by sisters and a brother, Bertila (Alfred) Barthel of Albertville, Norita DesMarais of Buffalo, Donald (\/angie) Kasper of Clear Lake, Bernadine (Leo) Larson of Buffalo, and Agnes (Joe) Marketon of Howard Lake; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, many nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial for Delphine Vetsch was Saturday, Aug. 3, at 11 a.m., at the Church of St. Albert in Albertville. The Rev. Peter Richards was the celebrant, and interment followed at St. Albert Cemetery. Friends called at the Peterson Chapel St. Michael-Albertville Funeral Home Friday, Aug. 2, from 4 to 8 p.m. A Christian Mother's Rosary was recited at 5 p.m., and a parish prayer service was at 7 p.m. Musicians for the Mass were Mary Lou Kolles
and Ramona Martin. The Peterson Chapel St. Michael-Albertville Funeral Home served the family. |
