Thomas A. Weiland
Thomas A. Weiland, age 59, formerly of St. Bonifacius,
died Monday, Dec. 30, 2002, at St. Mary’s Care Center in Winsted.
He was born Nov. 14, 1943, in Watertown, the son of Albert
B. and Bernice R. (Weinzierl) Weiland. He was baptized and confirmed at
St. Boniface Catholic Church in St. Bonifacius.
Tom was a steel construction worker in Colorado. He traveled
in his work to Antarctica three times, Portugal, and many other countries.
He enjoyed the outdoors, and loved animals and horses.
Tom was preceded in death by his father Albert B. Weiland,
and grandparents Joseph and Margaret Weinzierl, and Andrey and Emma Weiland.
Tom is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Dawn and
Mike Bleichner of Norwood Young America, son and daughter Troy and Jennie
Weiland of Belle Plaine; mother Bernice Weiland of St. Bonifacius;
Brothers and sisters-in-law Albert, Jr. and Mary Weiland
of Burnsville, Richard and Susan Weiland of St. Louis Park, John and Maureen
Weiland of Thorton, Colo., Steven and Susan Weiland of Delano, Leon and
Kathy Weiland of Anoka, Paul Weiland of Phoenix, Ariz., Edward Weiland of
Waconia;
Sisters and brothers-in-law Mary and Steven Prihoda of
Victoria, Cecilia and Tony Luft of Chaska, Karen and Leo Delahoussey of
Ocean Spring Miss.; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Funeral services were Friday, Jan. 3, 2003, at St. Boniface
Catholic Church, at 10:30 a.m. with Father James Livingston officiating.
Interment was at St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery in St.
Bonifacius.
Brothers Albert Jr., Richard, John, Steven, Leon, Paul,
and Edward Weiland served as casketbearers.
Arrangements were made by Johnson Funeral Home of Waconia.
