Evelyn Mae Wendt
Evelyn Mae Wendt, age 80, of Lester Prairie, died Thursday,
Oct. 31, 2002, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.
She was born May 2, 1922 in Staples, the daughter of Frank
and Anna (Foss) Adams. She was baptized and confirmed April 4, 1950, at
Salem Lutheran church, Minneapolis by Rev. Paul Wetzler.
Evelyn married Haward S. Wendt at Salem Lutheran Church,
Minneapolis June 3, 1950.
She was a very caring person with a kind heart. She loved
her grandchildren, and enjoyed quilting, gardening, and working with her
flowers.
Evelyn was preceded in death by twin boys, her parents
Frank and Anna Adams, sisters Gladys Maxwell, Mary Maxwell, Alice Lorber,
Edith Boyle, and Esther Bastian.
She is survived by her husband Haward S. Wendt, son and
daughter-in-law Randal and Lynn Wendt of New Auburn, Wis., daughters and
sons-in-law Susan and Roy Goins of Ridgeland, Wis., Nancy and Steve Frederickson
of New Ulm, Linda Wendt and special friend Gaylord Schueler of New Ulm.
She is further survived by grandchildren Kristine and Mitch
Hanson, Sarah Wendt, Jason Wendt, Jesse Wendt, Rachel Goins, Lydia Goins,
Elisabeth Goins, Jacob Wendt (Goins), Eric Frederickson, Katie Frederickson,
Sam Frederickson, great-grandson Carter Hanson, and many other relatives
and friends.
Funeral services took place Monday, Nov. 4, 2002, at 11
a.m., at Trinity Lutheran Church, Watertown. The Rev. Terri Apgar officiated.
Casketbearers were Roy Goins, Steve Frederickson, Jason
Wendt, Jesse Wendt, Eric Frederickson, Bruce Bastian, and Gaylord Schueler.
Interment was at Watertown Public Cemetery.
Arrangements were made by Johnson Funeral Home of Waconia.
