Diane Lynn Anderson

Diane Lynn Anderson, age 48 of Lester Prairie, died Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2003, at Glencoe Regional Health Services.

Diane Lynn Anderson was born to Glen and Lois (Mielke) Anderson Sept. 18, 1954, in Glencoe.

She was baptized Oct. 24, 1954, by the Rev. Alvin Meier at the Methodist Church in Lester Prairie.

She was later confirmed into the faith May 25, 1969, by the Rev. Gary Kasten at the Evangelical United Church of Christ in Lester Prairie.

Diane attended Lester Prairie Public School and graduated in 1973. She then attended and graduated from Southwest State University in Marshall.

After graduation, she worked at Poly Foam for over 20 years. Diane enjoyed spending her time watching birds and reading many books.

Preceding her in death were her grandparents Alvin and Olive Anderson, and Otto and Mary Mielke; uncles Harold "Skeets" Lemke, Robert McClusky, and Warren Anderson; and aunt Phyllis Mielke.

Survivors include her parents, Glen and Lois Anderson of Lester Prairie; brothers Steven Anderson of Lester Prairie, Dale (Diane) Anderson of Lester Prairie, and David (Donna) Anderson of Lester Prairie; nieces and nephews Kristin Anderson, Dustin Anderson, Kevin Anderson, and Karen Anderson; as well as many aunts, uncles, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral services for Diane Lynn Anderson took place Saturday, Jan. 11, at the Evangelical United Church of Christ in Lester Prairie, with the Rev. Bill Baldwin officiating.

The organist was Jan Smith, and the pianist was Diane Anderson. Soloist Marvin Westerman sang "Count Your Blessings," and Earl Erhke played "Beyond The Sunset" on the harmonica.

The congregational hymns were "In The Garden," "What A Friend We Have In Jesus," and "Just As l Am."

Pallbearers were Kim Lemke, Lee Lemke, Dean McClusky, Scot McClusky, Mark Anderson, and Sam Anderson.

Arrangements were with the Paul-McBride Funeral Chapel in Lester Prairie.
