Rosella Emma (Ide) Bahr, 84
Rosella Emma (Ide) Bahr, of Lester Prairie, entered her eternal rest at St. Mary's Care Center Wednesday, March 26, 2003, at the age of 84 years and 19 days.
Rosella was born March 7, 1919, in Bergen Township, McLeod County, the daughter of Herman and Lena (Stern) Ide.
She was baptized at St. Peter Lutheran Church May 30, 1919, by Rev. Baumhoefner and confirmed at the same church April 9, 1933, by Rev. Schert.
Her education was in parochial school through eighth grade.
Rosella was united in marriage to Otto G. Bahr at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Lester Prairie May 26, 1948 by the Rev. Ritz.
The couple bought a farm in Bergen Township that same year.
Her hobbies included quilting, doing embroidery, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Rosella was preceded in death by her son David, who died May 26, 1996, her husband Otto, who died March 21, 1999, her parents, two sisters: Orvilla Luehrs and Malinda Klaustermeier, and brother Walter Ide.
She is survived by her son Dale (Michelle) Bahr of Shakopee; daughter-in-law Debbra Bahr of Lester Prairie; grandchildren Chris (Anita) Bahr, Angie Bahr, Jenny Bahr, Ben Bahr, Brett Bahr, Cole Nosgoda, Callie Nosgoda; sister-in-law Ella Ide of Lester Prairie, as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation was Thursday evening at the Paul-McBride Funeral Chapel in Lester Prairie.
Funeral services for Rosella were Friday, March 28, 2003, at 1 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Lester Prairie, with Rev. Grant Bode officiating.
Soloist Lawrence Biermann sang "Jesu Geh Voran."
The organist was Jane Holasek, and the congregational hymns were "Hosanna, Loud Hosanna," "Victory of Jesus," "Rock of Ages, Cleft For Me," and "Jesus Lead Thou On."
The casket bearers were Douglas Ide, Michael Ide, Wallace Ide, Dennis Anfinson, Paul Klaustermeier, and Francis Burch.
The honorary bearer was Hillard Klaustermeier.
Interment was in the church cemetery.
