Isabelle Brose, age 97, of Winsted, died Thursday, Nov. 13, 2003 at St. Mary's Care Center.
She was born June 14, 1906, in Winsted Township the daughter of Michael and Elizabeth Brose Fasching.
Isabelle Fasching and Adalbert Brose were joined in holy marriage Nov. 7, 1927. God blessed their marriage with six children.
She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, embroidering, gardening and playing the piano.
Isabelle was a lifelong member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. She also belonged to The St. Anne's Society, Council of Catholic Women, The American Legion Auxiliary #407 for over 20 years and she was a Gold Star Mother.
She was prececeded in death by her husband Adalbert Brose July 20, 1984, son Steve Brose who died in Vietnam, her parents Michael and Elizabeth Fasching, and 11 brothers and sisters.
Isabelle is survived by children Sylvia Horstmann of Winsted, Elmerine (Felix) Nowak of Silver Lake, Charmaine (Don) Hartmann of Osakis, Michael (Dorothy) Brose of Winsted, and Ralph (Joan) Brose of Cass Lake; 26 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; sister Rose "Babe" Otto; other relatives and friends.
A Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial for Isabelle Brose was Saturday, Nov. 15 at 2 p.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. Father Paul L. Wolf and Father Martin F. Rath, OSB were the Concelebrants.
Interment followed at Holy Trinity Cemetery.
Friends called at the church one hour prior to the Mass.
Casketbearers were Sharon Brose Menden, Stephen Brose, Harvey Nowak, Paul Hartmann, Kevin Horstmann, and Michael Ramthun.
The Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted served the family.
