Peter G. Cebulla

Peter G. Cebulla, age 93, of Norwood Young America, passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2003, at the Good Samaritan Center in Waconia.

Peter was born Aug. 17, 1909, in Montrose, the son of John and Rose (nee Kuka) Cebulla. He was baptized and confirmed at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Watertown.

Peter married Helen E. Warzeha at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Waverly May 11, 1938.

Peter farmed his entire lifetime in the Watertown and Young America area. He loved to fish and play cards, and was a member of the Mayer and New Germany Senior Citizens.

Peter was preceded in death by son Marvin Cebulla, grandson Brian Cebulla, parents John and Rose Cebulla, brothers Jack, William, and Ray Cebulla, sisters Margaret Farniok, Nellie Farniok, Frances Rogers, Rose Nagel, and Hattie Kruzel, and brother-in-law Marvin Warzeha.

He is survived by his loving wife Helen, sons and daughters-in-law Harold and Elsie Cebulla of Shapleigh, Maine; David and Donna Cebulla of Norwood, Robert and Marie Cebulla of Spring Valley, Wis.; daughter-in-law and husband Doris and Dennis Mielke of Cologne; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

He is further survived by brother and sisters-in-law Tom and Bernita Cebulla of Montrose, Agnes Cebulla of Watertown, Lois Warzeha of Delano; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A Mass of Christian burial took place Saturday, May 24, 2003, at 11 a.m., at Ascension Catholic Church, Norwood Young America. Father Paul Ardolf officiated.

Interment was at Ascension Catholic Cemetery in Norwood Young America.

Casketbearers were Jason Cebulla, Aaron Cebulla, Todd Cebulla, David Wilson, Joe Cebulla, Jeff Hilgers, John Cebulla, Ron Wormwood, and Jeff DeGroot.

Arrangements were made by Johnson Funeral Home of Waconia.
