Gretchen Sue Cecelia Dalbec
Gretchen Sue Cecelia Dalbec, age 55, of Minneapolis and formerly of Waverly, died Monday, April 14, 2003.
Gretchen was born to Henry L. and Lucienne (Boisvert) Dalbec in Watertown.
She was a people-person, and loved to spend time talking on the phone, sending and receiving cards, and just generally socializing. She was a devoted friend who always had time for a little conversation or a short shopping trip.
Gretchen was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her daughter, Michelle and Alan Loch, three grandchildren: Kaitlin, Kelsey, and Brendon; seven siblings: Bernard and Arlene Dalbec, Bruce and Dick Dalbec, Carol and Dick Hogan, Berrie and Char Dalbec, Corliss Johnson, Gordon and Wolye Dalbec, and Kevin Dalbec; and special friend Judy.
She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial took place Thursday, April 17, 2003, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Waverly. Visitation was one hour prior to the service at the church.
Father Leon Klimczyk officiated, with Therese Borrell, organist, and the St. Mary's Catholic Church choir providing music.
Pallbearers were Joe Hogan, Rick Hogan, Bruce Dalbec, Jr., Curtis Dalbec, Rodney Dalbec, and Rick Dalbec.
Interment was in St. Mary's Cemetery in Waverly.
Arrangements were made by the Iten Funeral Home in Delano.
