Veronica Ruth "Bonnie" Davis

Veronica Ruth "Bonnie" Meyer Davis, age 49, of Litchfield, died Thursday, Sept. 25, 2003, at Fairview-University Hospital in Minneapolis.

She was born May 25, 1954, in New Ulm, the daughter of Warren and Ruth Dahl Meyer.

Veronica R. Meyer and Alfred T. Davis were joined in holy marriage July 26, 1974, in Watertown, S.D.

She was formerly employed at Fairbault Foods in Cokato as a production worker.

Veronica is preceded in death by her mother Ruth Meyer in 1979, and by her grandparents.

She is survived by her husband Alfred T. Davis; four children: Jeremy (Heather) Davis and Jamie (Brad) Lund, all of Litchfield, Jennifer Davis of Gaylord, and Justin (Amanda) Blackstone of Paynesville; five grandchildren: Alana and Adam Lund; Samantha, Aaron, and Casey Blackstone; father Warren (Lucille) Meyer of Winsted; brothers and a sister: twin brother Douglas Meyer of St. Louis Park and friend Karen, Brenda (David) Schwantz of Burnsville, and Kevin (Wendy) Meyer of Gaylord; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Bonnie Meyer Davis were Monday, Sept. 29 at 2 p.m. at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Winsted. Pastor Gerald L. Boldt officiated, and interment followed at the Winsted Public Cemetery.

Marsha Christenson was the organist, and "How Great Thou Art," "What a Friend We Have in Jesus," "Amazing Grace," and "Abide with Me" were sung as congregational hymns.

Friends called Sunday, Sept. 28 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted. A prayer service was conducted at 4 p.m.

Casketbearers were Richard Heinz, Allan Kiecker, Luverne Meyer, Mike Meyer, Brad Meyer, and Glen Meyer.

The Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted served the family.
