Marilyn Ruth Fredrickson
Marilyn Ruth Fredrickson, age 79, of Dassel, passed away
Wednesday morning, Jan. 15, 2003, at the Dassel Lakeside Community Home.
Marilyn Ruth Carlson Fredrickson was born June 18, 1923,
in Litchfield, the daughter of Albin and Ruth (Nordstrom) Carlson.
Marilyn was baptized October, 1923, and confirmed in 1935
at the Mission Church (Evangelical Covenant) in Dassel.
The Carlson family made their home in the Darwin, rural
Atwater, and Spicer area, and later, Dassel.
She received her elementary education at the Harrison School
in rural Atwater and in Darwin and Dassel. She graduated from Dassel High
School in 1941.
She was united in marriage to Donald Fredrickson Nov. 22,
1941, by Pastor C. Edwin Anderson, pastor of the Mission Church of Dassel,
at the Carlson home farm in Dassel.
Following their marriage, Marilyn and Donald lived in Litchfield
until 1946 when they moved to Dassel, where she had since made her home.

She was an active member of the Dassel Evangelical Covenant
Church, the Covenant Women organization, Bible study group, and the Dassel
Women’s Club.
For over 50 years, she was an Avon saleslady in the Dassel
area.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband,
one brother Bob, and one sister Lorraine.
Survivors include her children Ruth Pasqualetto of San
Clemente, Calif., Donna (Dr. Stephen) Morris of Dawson, Joan (David) DeWees
of Blaine, Todd (Peggy Sue) Fredrickson of Waupun, Wis., and Barbara (Gary)
Huhn of Litchfield; 16 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She is further survived by her sisters June (Delmond) Borg
of Cokato and Lois (Jerome) Engel of Howard Lake; brother Donald (Lorraine)
Carlson of Cokato; sister-in-law Ethelyn Carlson of Darwin; and other relatives.
Funeral services for Marilyn Fredrickson were Saturday,
Jan. 18, 2003, at 11 a.m. at the Evangelical Covenant Church in Dassel,
with the Rev. Keith Carlson officiating.
Her nephew Dwayne Borg provided special music for the service,
with Harvey Peterson as organist.
Casket bearers were her grandsons John Pasqualetto, Jr.,
Andrew De Wees, Eric DeWees, Daniel Fredrickson, Tyler Fredrickson, Patrick
Fredrickson, and Jeffery Huhn.
Interment was in the Dassel Cemetery.
