Orma Marvel Hardel
Orma Marvel Hardel, age 77, of Cokato, passed away Sunday, Jan. 5, 2003, at Howard Lake Good Samaritan Home.
Orma graduated from Arlington High School. Orma and Harold Hardel were married Sept. 19, 1945, at the church parsonage in Brownton by Rev. Schmidt.
The couple made their first home in LeSueur. Orma drove milk truck and helped Harold with the farm. The couple spent some time living in Texas, working in the oil business.
They moved to Cokato in 1961, and in 1964 they returned to Arlington. They eventually settled in the Cokato area, while Orma worked for a time at the Cokato Manor and cleaned houses with Lona Hermann for many years.
Orma was an active member of Mt. Hermon Lutheran Church.
Orma was preceded in death by her parents and husband Harold.
Orma is survived by her sons, Keith of Cokato, Burton and Jan of Lakeville, Perry and fiance Cindy of Prior Lake, Hal and Kyle of Andover; grandchildren, Scott Hardel, Paula and Joel Fredrickson, Jeff and Byrnn Evanson, Pam and Dan King, Carl and Sara Hardel, and Jeramie, Emily, Anna and Michael Hardel.
She is further survived by great-grandchildren Jacob, Joshua, and Jessica Solberg, Zachary Fredrickson, Netasha Hardel, Travis and Nicholas Evanson, Austin King and Mason Hardel; brother Rueben (Dorene) Williamsen and sister Dorothy (Bill) O'Brien; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Visitation took place Wednesday, Jan. 8, from 4 to 8 p.m., at Swanson-Peterson Funeral Home in Cokato, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., and one hour prior to the funeral service at church.
The funeral service for Orma Marvel Hardel was Thursday, Jan. 9, 10 a.m., at Mt. Hermon Lutheran Church, Annandale, with Rev. Steve Josephson officiating.

Interment was at Mt. Hermon Lutheran Cemetery.
Swanson-Peterson Funeral Home, Inc., of Cokato and Howard Lake served the family.
