Dorothy Ann Jensen, 79
Dorothy Ann Jensen, 79, passed away Saturday, Dec. 13,
2003 in Waconia.
Dorothy was born Oct. 3, 1924 in Bessemer, Mich. to Gene
and Zella (Remondini) Giuliani. Dorothy grew up in Michigan and graduated
from Bessemer High School in 1942, and then went to Cleary College in Ypsilanti,
Mich.
Dorothy was united in marriage to Milton Jensen Aug. 29,
1949 in Bessemer, Mich. Dorothy worked in the office of Charles Lindberg
during World War II. She also worked for the deans of the graduate school
office at the University of Minnesota. Dorothy also moved to Washington,
D.C. and worked for the Library of Congress for two years.
The couple then moved back to Minnesota in 1954, where
Milton took a job teaching at the Howard Lake Schools. They also ran Jensen's
Orchard in Howard Lake. Dorothy was a very big part of the orchard.
Dorothy sang in the church choir and volunteered at the
Good Samaritan Nursing Home. She enjoyed cooking, canning, and gardening.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Milton; sister
Laraine Tracy of Bloomington, brothers Robert Giuliani of Hoyt Lakes and
Eugene Giuliani of Inver Grove Heights, and her nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Dorothy Ann Jensen took
place Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2003 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church
in Waverly, with the Father Timothy Cloutier officiating. Music was provided
by Therese Borrell.
Casketbearers were Bob Giuliani, Eugene Giuliani, Ernest
Johnson, John Scheveck, Michael Tracy, and Walace Trochil.
Interment was at St. Mary's Church Cemetery.
Arrangements were made by Swanson-Peterson Funeral Home
of Howard Lake and Cokato.
