Mason Edward Jergens
Mass of Christian Burial was held for Mason Edward Jergens, 6, Watertown on Thursday, Sept. 4, from Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Watertown.
The concelebrating clergy was the Rev. Frank Wampach, pastor at Immaculate Conception, the Rev. Joseph Gallatin, pastor of St. Mary's of Czestochowa in rural Delano and the Rev. Edward Ardolf, great-uncle to Mason, and pastor of the Church of St. Paul, Nicollet.
Mason died on Aug. 30, 2003, at his home after a 2-1-/2-year battle with AML leukemia.
He was born on May 30, 1997, in Waconia to Kurt and Sandy (Ardolf) Jergens. He enjoyed Scooby Doo, animated movies, games, animals, swimming, fishing, the outdoors, playing ball and playing with his brothers, cousins and friends.
Mason was going to enter first grade at Watertown Elementary School and was a member of St. Mary's of Czestochowa in rural Delano.
Survivors include his parents; brothers, Zachary Eugene and Adam James; grandparents, Dorothy Ardolf, formerly of Glencoe, and Neil and Arline Jergens of Glencoe; cousins, aunts, uncles and godparents.
Preceding him in death was his grandfather, Gene Ardolf.
Arrangements were by Iten Funeral Home of Watertown.
