Janice M. Johnson obituary, 12/7/2003


Janice M. Johnson, 62, of Hopkins, Minn., died Sunday,
Dec. 7, 2003 at her apartment in Hopkins.
She was born July 3, 1941 at Watertown, the daughter of
Norman and Edna (Rudloff) Arnold. She was baptized Aug. 10, 1941 at St.
John Lutheran Church, Hollywood Township, by the Rev. W.L. Ernst, and confirmed
April 3, 1955 at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Excelsior, by the Rev. Arthur
C. Klemp.
Janice married James F. Johnson March 4, 1961 in Mason
City, Iowa. Janice was a very caring person and always put other people
first.
Janice was preceded in death by husband James, grandson
Daniel Condon, brother Darryl Arnold, and father-in-law Francis Johnson.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Debra
and Kenneth Condon of New Germany, Brenda Caswell and fiancee Tony Heitz
of Maple Plain, Lori Duda of Chanhassen, and Lisa and Kevin Olson of Chanhassen.
Janice is further survived by grandchildren Jaclynn Condon
and fiancee Lance Olson, Nicholas Condon, Jannel Duda and Tyler Olson, mother
and father Edna and Norman Arnold of Annandale, sister and brother-in-law
Joanne and Jack Duda of Excelsior, and brother Dwayne Arnold of Maple Lake.
She is also survived by mother-in-law Marion Catlett of
Crystal, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Kenneth Johnson, Carol and Ed
Matheson of Mound, Michael J. and Dianne Johnson of New Hope, nieces, nephews,
other relatives, and friends.
Funeral services for Janice Johnson were Thursday, Dec.
11, 2003 at 11 a.m. at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Excelsior, with the
Rev. John Zahrte officiating.
Visitation was at the Johnson Funeral Home in Waconia Wednesday
from 4 to 8 p.m., with a chapel service at 7:30 p.m., and at the church
one hour prior to the service.
Interment was at Pleasantview Memorial Garden, Burnsville.
Casketbearers were Jaclynn Condon, Nicholas Condon, Kenneth
Condon, Brad Arnold, Kevin Olson, and Tony Heitz.
Arrangements were made by the Johnson Funeral Home of Waconia.
