Bernadine Sylvia Juncewski
Bernadine Sylvia Juncewski, age 52, of rural Silver Lake, died Friday, April 4, 2003.
She was born June 11, 1950, in Glencoe, the daughter of Ambrose and Irene Shovelain Remer.
She graduated from Holy Trinity High School in 1968.
Bernadine Remer and Kenneth "Kenny" Juncewski were joined in holy marriage July 20, 1968, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. God blessed their marriage with three children.
Bernadine and Kenny engaged in dairy farming for many years.
She enjoyed playing cards, especially buck euchre, craft sales, gardening, flowers, baking fudge, and homemade noodles.
She was also a loving and special Grandma.
Bernadine was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Silver Lake, C.C.W., and the Rosary Society.
She was preceded in death by her parents Ambrose and Irene Remer, sister Carol Ann "Annie" Kohler, an infant brother, and brothers Roger and Clarence Remer.
She is survived by her husband Kenneth "Kenny" Juncewski; children Alan (Mary) Juncewski of Silver Lake, Dianne (Kenny) Wraspir of Cokato, and Darlene (John) Schlechter of Winsted; and eight grandchildren: Ashley, Heidi, Steven, and Brittany Juncewski, Joey and Katie Wraspir, and Nick and Mathew Schlechter.
She is further survived by brothers and sisters Gerald (Joan) Remer of St. Louis Park, Helen Earley of Brooklyn Park, Geraldine (Glenn) Kleist of Richfield, Charles (Trudy) Remer of Winsted, Melvin (Cindy) Remer of Bloomington, and Harold Remer of Lester Prairie;
father-in-law and mother-in-law Felix and Sophie Juncewski of Winsted; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Rita (Kendall) Bradford of Bloomington, Lenny (Linda) Juncewski of Winsted and Dave (Sandy) Juncewski of Silver Lake; and many other relatives and friends.
A concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial for Bernadine Juncewski was Tuesday, April 8, 2003, at 1 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Silver Lake. Father Robert J. Mraz and Father Paul L. Wolf were the concelebrants, and interment followed at St. Adalbert Cemetery.
Joey Remer was the lector, and Mike Wosmek and Harry Stibal were eucharistic ministers.
Alice Nowak was the organist for the Mass. "Be Not Afraid," "On Eagles' Wings," "I Am the Bread of Life," and "How Great Thou Art" were sung as congregational hymns.
Friends called Monday, April 7, 2003, from 3 to 9 p.m. at the Maresh Funeral Home in Silver Lake.
A CCW and Rosary Society rosary was recited at 3:30 p.m. and a parish prayer service was at 8 p.m.
Gift bearers were Heidi Juncewski, Steven Juncewski, Joey Wraspir, and Nick Schlechter.
Casket bearers were John Remer, Roger Earley, Douglas Kleist, Craig Remer, Mike Cacka, and Bud Remer.
The Maresh Funeral Home in Silver Lake served the family.
