Dean Bernard Kaczmarek
Dean Bernard Kaczmarek, age 40, of rural Cokato, Stockholm Township, died Wednesday, May 28, 2003.
Dean was born April 29, 1963 in Winsted, the son of Bernard and Laura Schermann Kaczmarek.
Dean grew up in Stockholm Township, Wright County, and graduated from Dassel-Cokato High School in 1981. While in High School, Dean participated in FFA, wrestling, and basketball.
He was employed as a service writer with Lake Region Co-op (Cenex) in Cokato, where he has worked for the past 16 years.
Dean B. Kaczmarek and Joanne T. Molva were joined in marriage June 22, 1985, at St. Adalbert Catholic Church in Silver Lake.
God blessed their marriage with two children: Nicole and Nathan.
Dean enjoyed time with his family and friends, camping, playing cards, being outside, and going to classic car shows.
He belonged to the Church of St. John in Darwin and the Knights of Columbus Council 13122, also in Darwin.
Dean was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Anna Schermann, and paternal grandfather Louis Kaczmarek.
He is survived by his wife Joanne T. Kaczmarek of Cokato; children Nicole and Nathan; parents Bernard and Laura Kaczmarek of Silver Lake; and brother and sisters Darrell (Rhonda) Kaczmarek of Glencoe, Barbara (Robin) Farnes of Phoenix, Ariz., Bonnie Kaczmarek, Brenda Christensen, and Betty (Paul) Davis, all of Silver Lake.
He is further survived by nieces and nephews Matthew, Christine, Heather, and Zachary; Tyler; Cody, and Kyle; and Myles and Mackenzie; grandparents Frank Schermann of Glencoe and Cecelia Kaczmarek of Hutchinson; and parents-in-law William Molva of Glencoe and Elizabeth Molva of Arlington.
He is also survived by sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Marie Molva of Mounds View, Carol (Robert) Timm of Farmington, Carla (David) Ulrich of Mankato, Chad (Amy) Molva, and Kathy Molva, all of Norwood Young America; five Molva nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
Friends called Friday, May 30, from 4 to 9 p.m. at the Maresh Funeral Home in Silver Lake.
A prayer service was at 7 p.m. and a Knights of Columbus service was at 8 p.m.
A Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial for Dean Kaczmarek took place Saturday, May 31, 2003, at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Silver Lake. Father Robert I. Mraz and Father Patrick L. Casey were the Concelebrants for the Mass.
Interment followed at St. Adalbert Cemetery.
Alice Nowak was the organist for the Mass. "Amazing Grace," "Be Not Afraid," "On Eagles' Wings," and "How Great Thou Art" were sung as congregational hymns.
Marie Molva was the lector and eucharistic minister for the Mass. Hubert Schermann was the commentator.
Christine Kaczmarek, Tyler Kaczmarek, and Chad Nordmann were the Mass servers.
Honorary casket bearers were Keith Evenski, David Sangren, Frank Cruz, and Robin Farnes.
Casket bearers were Chad Molva, Robert Timm, David Ulrich, Paul Davis, Matthew Kaczmarek, and Richard Carlson.
The Maresh Funeral Home in Silver Lake served the family.
