Wilbert C. Lueck
Wilbert C. Lueck, 79, of rural Winsted died Tuesday evening, Dec. 30, 2003 at Glencoe Regional Health Services.
He was born Feb. 23, 1924 in Winsted Township, the son of Bernard J. and Julia A. Kegler Lueck.
Wilbert Lueck and Alice Wendolek were joined in holy marriage June 10, 1961 at St. Adalbert Catholic Church in Silver Lake.
Wilbert and Alice engaged in dairy farming in Winsted Township for many years.
He was a life member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. Wilbert also belonged to Catholic Aid Holy Family Council 204 and to The Knights of Columbus Council 8253.
Wilbert is preceded in death by his parents Bernard and Julia Lueck, infant brother Bernard J. Lueck Jr., father-in-law and mother-in-law Walter and Mary Wendolek, brothers-in-law Bernie Ardolf and Albin Wendolek, nephews Darril Roufs and Chris Wendolek, and grand niece Jenny Wendolek.
Wilbert is survived by his loving wife Alice G. Lueck, sisters and a brother Mary Ann (Ardner) Fasching of Minnetonka, Afra (Donald) Roufs of Winsted, Marcia (Russell) Haugen of Mendota Heights, and John J. (Charlene) Lueck of Winsted; sisters-in-law Mary Ann Ardolf and Elizabeth Wendolek, both of Glencoe; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Wilbert Lueck was Saturday, Jan. 3 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. Father Paul L. Wolf was the Celebrant, and interment followed at Holy Trinity Cemetery.
Friends called Friday, Jan. 2 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted. A combined Holy Family Council and Knights of Columbus Rosary was recited at 5 p.m. A Prayer Service was also conducted at 7 p.m.
Honorary casketbearers were Bernie Lueck, Ed Roufs, Willie Roufs, Tim Ardolf, Ken Hanson, and Collin Hanson.
Casketbearers were Jerome Roufs, Francis Roufs, Larry Wendolek, Randy Wendolek, Jerry Clark, and Steve Roufs.
The Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted served the family.
