LeRoy David Paul Mueller
Funeral services for LeRoy David Paul Mueller, 67, of Hutchinson
were held on Sunday, May 25, from St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Lester Prairie,
with the Rev. Grant Bode officiating.
Mr. Mueller died on Thursday, May 22, 2003, at Hutchinson
Area Health Center.
Organist was Jane Holasek, and the congregational hymns
were “I Am But A Stranger Here,” “Just As I Am” and
“How Great Thou Art.”
Pallbearers were Kevin Kelm, Dennis Jannusch, Kim Kopp,
Charles Jannusch, Kris Bemis and Lorie Jannusch. Interment was in the church
cemetery.
Mr. Mueller was born on Sept. 11, 1935, in Henderson to
Charles and Ida (Mahnke) Mueller. He was confirmed at the Evangelical and
Reformed Church of Plato on April 10, 1949, by the Rev. J.H. Bunge.
He graduated from Glencoe High School on May 28, 1953.
On Dec. 9, 1955, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served until he was honorably
discharged on Aug. 8, 1957.
Mr. Mueller was united in marriage to LuAnn Wroge on Feb.
18, 1961, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Winsted by the Rev. E.F. Schroeder.
The couple made their home in Lester Prairie and later Hutchinson.
Mr. Mueller worked at Schwartz Manufacturing and Hutchinson
Manufacturing.
He enjoyed fishing, drawing, camping and doing crossword
puzzles. He especially enjoyed being with his many grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, LuAnn, of Hutchinson; children,
Lisa (Ken) Johnson of Hutchinson, Lonnie Mueller of Chaska, Leigh Mueller
of Brandon, Wis., Lyn (Dan) Trukki of Plato, Lona (Scott) Burandt of Buffalo;
10 grandchildren, Kaylee Mueller, Whitney Johnson, Cheyenne Johnson, Tayler
Johnson, Kali Trukki, Jon Trukki, Brianna Trukki, Kristina Burandt, Jeffrey
Burandt and Michael Burandt; mother-in-law, Leona Wroge of Lester Prairie;
as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents; three grandsons;
two granddaughters; three sisters, Helen Ackley, Delores Kelm and Elvira
Jannusch; and two brothers, Walter Mueller and Marvin Mueller.
The Paul-McBride Funeral Chapel of Lester Prairie handled
the arrangements.
