Steven C. Mueller
Steven C. Mueller, 52, of Watertown, died Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2003, at Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia.
Steven was born March 14, 1951, the son of Ralph and Gladys (Singley) Mueller, and baptized the same day at Bratholdt Hospital in Watertown by Dr. Bratholdt.
Steven was confirmed April 11, 1965, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Watertown by the Rev. Louis Wetzel.
He married Rita L. Farber June 5, 1976, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Winsted by the Rev. Paul Borgmann.
Steven loved the Lord and his family, music and entertaining, and spending time in the outdoors. He was a man with strong Christian faith, which he shared with those around him even through the last days of his life.
Because of his strong support of Christian education, Steven served as a Sunday school and confirmation teacher, and also served as church elder. He was a member of the adult choir and truly enjoyed praising his Lord in St. Paul's Praise Band.
He was a devoted husband, father, and provider for his home, and he supported his family and community. He was a musician who played keyboards and sang in a number of rock and roll bands over the years.
As a hunter, fisherman, and boat lover, Steven demonstrated his love for the outdoors. He particularly enjoyed spending time on the water with family and friends.
He was a 1969 graduate of Mayer Lutheran High School and later received a BA degree in journalism from the University of Minnesota.
Steven was an owner of Key Sales Group, a confection brokerage firm. He loved to sell and interact with people. Everyone "confectionately" knew him as "The candy man."
Steven was a compassionate, warm, loving man who will be missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by parents Ralph and Gladys Mueller, and father-in-law Vernon Farber.
Steven is survived by his loving wife Rita, sons Ryan Mueller of Mayer, Michael Mueller of Watertown, Zachary Mueller of Watertown, Lucas Mueller of Watertown, and mother-in-law Lorraine Farber of Watertown.
He is further survived by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Gary and Kim Farber of Orlando, Fla., Steven and Elizabeth Farber of Sturgeon Lake, Lee and Linda Farber of Watertown, Mark Farber of Bellvue, Colo., John and Patty Farber of Watertown, Lynn and Greg White of Maple Plain, David and Roxanne Farber of Watertown.
Steven is also survived by uncle and aunt Marvin and Rose Mary Singley of Watertown, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Funeral services for Steven Mueller were Friday, Nov. 14, 2003, at 11 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Watertown, with the Rev. Paul Krentz officiating.
Interment was at Watertown Public Cemetery in Watertown.
Casketbearers were Gary Farber, Steven Farber, Lee Farber, Mark Farber, John Farber, David Farber, and Greg White.
Arrangements were made by the Johnson Funeral Home of Waconia.
