Florence A. Narr

Florence A. Narr, age 82, of Hollywood Township, New Germany, died Thursday, Jan. 9, 2003, at Elim Home in Watertown.

Florence was born April 13, 1920, in Hollywood Township, New Germany, the daughter of Elmer and Alvina (nee Braun) Lehrke, Sr.

She was baptized at St. John Lutheran Church, Hollywood Township, New Germany, in 1920 by Rev. Theodore Rolf, and confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church, Hollywood Township, Palm Sunday in 1934 by Rev. W. L. Ernst.

She was married to Ruben A. Narr Jan. 1, 1941, at St. John Parsonage, Hollywood Township, New Germany, by the Rev. W. L. Ernst.

Florence was a member of the St. John Ladies Aid, LWML, and also sang in the church choir. She cooked in the school hot lunch program, and also belonged to the homemakers group.

She is preceded in death by her husband Ruben A. Narr, daughter Irene Narr, parents Elmer and Alvina Lehrke, Sr., and brother Raymond Lehrke.

Florence is survived by her daughter Corinne Allen of New Germany, and sons and daughters-in-law Duane and Arleen Narr of Newberg, Ore., Donald and Nancy Narr of Crystal, David Narr and special friend Kathy Carlson of Minneapolis.

She is further survived by her grandchildren Sarah and John Allen, Shannon and Chris Neaton, Jennifer and Sean Admire, Emily Narr, and Jeff, Greg, Rita, and Charlotte Narr; great-grandchild Hanna Allen, sister Ethel Emich of Lester Prairie, brother and sister-in-law Elmer and Phyllis Lehrke of New Germany, sister-in-law Vernice Narr of Watertown, aunt Meta Luebke of Mayer; and nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral services took place Sunday, Jan. 12, 2003, at 1:30 p.m., at St. John Lutheran Church, Hollywood Township, New Germany, with Rev. Ronald Mathison and Rev. Jeff Harter officiating.

Casketbearers were her grandchildren.

Interment was at St. John Lutheran Cemetery.

Arrangements were made by the Johnson Funeral Home in Waconia.
