Hilda E. Noerenberg
Hilda E. Noerenberg, age 96, of New Germany, died Saturday, June 7, 2003, at St. Mary's Home in Winsted.
Hilda was born May 19, 1907, at Hollywood Township, Carver County, the daughter of Paul F. and Anna (Goede) Rudloff.
She was baptized June 16, 1907 at St. John Lutheran Church, Hollywood Township by Rev. Theodore Rolf, and confirmed April 9, 1922, at St. John Lutheran Church by Rev. W. L. Ernst.
Hilda was united in marriage to August C. Noerenberg Oct. 17, 1929, at St. John Lutheran Church, Hollywood Township, by Rev. Ernst.
Hilda loved to do farm work, garden, and work with her flowers.
She was preceded in death by her husband August C. Noerenberg, sons Leonard and Larry Noerenberg, great-grandson Joseph Eggers, parents Paul and Anna Rudloff, sister Lorena Noerenberg, brothers Edward, Carl, and Walter Rudloff.
She is survived by her children and spouses Darlene and Gordon Schroeder of New Germany, Mylo and Carol Noerenberg of Mayer, Carol and John Waetjen of Young America; and daughters-in-law Margaret Noerenberg of New Germany, Maureen Noerenberg of Watertown.
She is further survived by 15 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law Viola Stender of New Germany, Edna and Norman Arnold of Annandale; and nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Funeral services were Tuesday, June 10, 2003, at 11 a.m, at St. John Lutheran Church, Hollywood Township, New Germany, with the Rev. Allen Holthus officiating.
Casket bearers were Lyle Schroeder, Kevin Noerenberg, Kraig Noerenberg, Troy Waetjen, Terry Waetjen, and Roger Roy.
Interment was at St. John Lutheran Cemetery, New Germany.
Arrangements were made by Johnson Funeral Home, Waconia.
