Leonard W. "Lenny" Painschab
Leonard W. "Lenny" Painschab, age 62, of Devils Lake, N.D. and formerly of Brooklyn Park, died Thursday, June 5, 2003, at his residence.
He was born March 18, 1941, in Hutchinson, the son of Leonard G. and Irene M. Pofahl Painschab.
Lenny graduated from Howard Lake High School in 1959. He later honorably served his country in the United States Army.
He was a former real estate agent. Lenny enjoyed fishing, hunting, and his dogs.
Lenny was preceded in death by his father Leonard G. Painschab Dec. 6, 1991.
He is survived by son Brandon Painschab of Cannon Falls; mother Irene M. Painschab of Buffalo; sisters Marion F. (George) Tellgren of Richfield, and Marie E. (Darrell) Barth of Sioux Falls, S.D.; and brother John E. (Loretta) Painschab of Stamford, Texas.
He is further survived by Brandon's mother Pam Painschab and her mother Louise Culler; niece and nephews Kimberly (Jeff) Bryan, Scott (Stephanie) Barth, Tim Barth, Tim (Michelle) Painschab, Jeremy Painschab, and Michael (Amy) Anderson; eight great-nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and many cousins.
A memorial service for Lenny Painschab took place Monday, June 9, 2003, at 11 a.m. at the Buffalo Presbyterian Church. Rev. Dean W. Brown officiated.
"On Eagles' Wings" and "Here I Am Lord" were sung as congregational hymns.
The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo served the family.
