Regina Sophie Pawlak, 77
Regina Sophie Pawlak, age 77, of rural Silver Lake, died early Monday morning, June 16, 2003, at St. Mary's Care Center.
She was born Sept. 10, 1925 in Hale Township, McLeod County the daughter of Walter and Mary Kuras Juncewski.
Regina engaged in dairy farming for many years. She enjoyed crocheting and gardening.
Regina was a faithful member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Silver Lake and belonged to its CCW.
Regina was preceded in death by her son Kenneth Pawlak in 1972, her parents, an infant brother, brothers Tommy, Johnny, and Dominic Juncewski; and a sister Angeline Cacka.
She is survived by her daughter Susan Pawlak of Silver Lake, other relatives, and friends.
Friends called Wednesday, June 18 from 1 to 6 p.m. at the Maresh Funeral Home in Silver Lake.
A Rosary was recited at 1:30 p.m. and a parish prayer service took place at 5 p.m.
A concelebrated Mass of Christian burial for Regina Pawlak was Thursday, June 19 at 11 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Silver Lake. Father Robert J. Mraz and Father Martin F. Rath, OSB were the concelebrants.
Interment followed at St. Adalbert Cemetery.
Sister Elizabeth Gruenes, OSB was the organist for the Mass. "On Eagles' Wings," "How Great Thou Art," "Amazing Grace," and "I Am The Bread of Life" were sung as congregational hymns.
Casket bearers were Glen Mallak, David Pokornowski, Roger Pokornowski, Leo Nowak, Harry Nowak, Jr., and Veronica Nowak.
The Maresh Funeral Home in Silver Lake served the family.
