Herman H. Schesso, age 77, of Shakopee, died July 20, 2003
at his residence.
Herman was born in Prior Lake Oct. 12, 1925, the son of
Henry and Emma (Borchardt) Schesso.
Herman married Lorraine C. Theis Oct. 14, 1947 in Shakopee.
Herman was a farmer in Shakopee and Waconia, and worked as a grain operator
for Cargill, Inc.
Herman served in the Army during World War II, and was
a member of the Shakopee VFW Post 4046.
Herman is preceded in death by granddaughter Nichel, his
parents, brothers Art, Everett, and Lawrence, and sister Evelyn Oldenburg.
Herman is survived by wife Lorraine, children Barbara of
Hopkins, Janice of Shakopee, Ron (Judy) of St. Bonifacius, Steve of Norwood
Young America, Lyle (Michele) of Winsted, Arlene (Ron) Farrell of New Prague,
Monica (Bob) of Mound.
Herman is further survived by six granddaughters, seven
grandsons, seven great grandchildren, sister Irene Beuch of Prior Lake,
brothers Clarence (Delores) Schesso of Chaska and August Schesso of Coon
Rapids, sisters-in-law Angeline Schesso of Prior Lake, Phyllis Schesso of
Shakopee, brother-in-law Arnold Oldenburg of Prior Lake.
Visitation was Wednesday, July 23, 2003 at 9 a.m. at St.
Mark’s Catholic Church in Shakopee.
Mass of Christian burial for Herman Schesso was Wednesday,
July 23, 2003 at 11 a.m. at St. Mark’s Catholic Church, with the Rev. Joseph
P. Fink officiating.
The Shakopee Veterans Memorial Unit conducted military
honors.
Pallbearers were Ron, Steve, Lyle, and Dylan Schesso, Jamie
Farrell, and Wes Rasmussen.
Interment was at the Catholic Cemetery in Shakopee.
