Christian Albin Wendolek, 51, of Gulf Breeze, Fla., passed
away Monday, Dec. 22, 2003 at home with his family at his side.
Chris was born Sept. 18, 1952, in Glencoe, Minn., to Albin
and Elizabeth Wendolek. Chris served 27 years in the Navy attaining the
rank of Master Chief Petty Officer. He will be remembered as an avid golfer
and amazing husband and father who fought a courageous battle with cancer.
Chris leaves behind his best friend and wife of 27 years,
Lori Wendolek, adoring children, daughter Ensign Jessica Wendolek, son Patrick
Wendolek; and mother Elizabeth Wendolek; brothers Randy and Larry Wendolek;
sisters Cathy Hansen and Cindy Harming; and many loving family members and
wonderful friends.
Visitation was Monday, Dec. 29 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Oak
Lawn Funeral Home in Pensacola.
Funeral services were conducted by Father Joseph Kalinowski
Tuesday, Dec. 30 at 10:30 a.m. on board NAS Pensacola, Lady of Loretto Catholic
Church, Bldg. 1982, 131 Moffett Road. A procession left Oak Lawn Funeral
Home at 10 a.m.
Burial services will be at 11:45 a.m. at Barrancas National
Cemetery in Pensacola, with full military honors.
